This assignment was to create a needs analysis for a company trying to elevate the design of its website. I analyzed Red Eye Coffee (a local coffee company) and gave them a report back on what I think they should change about their website to better appeal to their audience. This project was challenging because I had to identify their audience and the user groups of this website, and then find and identify the flaws. I learned how to communicate with different people and how to create a potential schedule for improvements, which could help me with a career in project management.
This assignment was to create a visual creative project about a local environmental issue. The main challenge of this project was taking seemingly boring facts and numbers and turning them into a visually engaging presentation. I learned how to use Adobe InDesign and became proficient in the entire Adobe Creative Suite. I also developed a higher attention to detail to make sure the project was engaging but had a flow.
This assignment was to write a report on a pivotal part of technological history. I chose to write my report on the CompuServe vs AOL war. The main challenge of this project was finding relevant information on something that happened so long ago. Completing this report taught me how to problem solve using technological resources like databases and magazine archives. I also gained critical thinking skills, trying to figure out how I would find the information needed to successfully complete this project.
